Eric Morrison, President I wasn’t even old enough to ride a bicycle, when we got our first motorcycle, a 1969 Honda QA50. After learning to ride my brother and I created a dirt track near the rear of our property, complete with jumps, tight turns, and wide open straights. The only problem was we had to share the track with our chickens, (moving obstacles). Some years later my father bought a street bike, he used to take me for rides through the countryside. I believe that is where I really fell in love with open roads and the freedom a motorcycle offers. I’ve continued to ride motorcycles throughout my life, owning a wide variety of brands and styles. My daughter got me hooked on the Indian brand, as she always wanted to go to the dealership, to check out (play with) the new models. I purchased my 2017 Chieftain late in the season, it was torture having the bike sit in the basement waiting for the next riding season. I’m on my second season now with this machine and couldn’t be happier. Joining a rides group has opened up many opportunities from planned rides, meeting other people with similar interests, contributing to the community, and most important of all having a good time.
Les Burm, Vice President

My first bike was a Honda CR125 dirt bike that I road around our turkey farm in Surrey. Then I hit the road with a brand new Honda 250XL on/off road bike.  Loved being able to go anywhere with it. A few years after getting married I stopped riding, started a family and kids became my life. Then in 2016 I got the idea it would be great to ride again and got my current Indian Springfield.  Love anywhere I go with it. My wife has a Scout and together we are riding and meeting great people that also enjoy Indian Motorcycles.

I started my riding career at 11 on a green minibike with a 3hp Tecumseh pull start engine. Loved it so much that I’m still riding 54 years later. I brought Willow home on May 6th of 2017 after a lengthy courtship. When I sat on the Willow Green and Cream Vintage at the 2016 show my buddy Jeff commented that this was the bike for me. When asked why he said that he replied “Dude, you should see the smile on your face.” I sat on another one at the 2017 show and I knew this was the one I had to have. I’ve ridden a variety of bikes over the years and have settled on Indian because of the history, the quality and the way she makes me smile when we are bonding on a winding road. Looking forward to a great riding season this year! Cheers!

My earliest memory of riding a motorcycle was when I was about 12 years old. My brother and I would take turns riding our Suzuki 80 from the lakeside where our family was camping to the Kilby General Store. It was a blast! I didn’t ride after that until 2017 when I decided to get my MC license to ‘keep up with the Joneses’…aka my sister-in-law. My husband bought me ‘SPARK’ a black Honda Rebel 250. I practiced and practiced and watched copious Youtube videos. I passed the exam with flying colours. It was euphoric! Now I ride ‘SCOOCH’ my red with tan leathers Indian Scout…and I thought SPARK was big! Now my husband and I ride together. We ride with my brother who recently started riding again, and YES….my sister-in-law! LOVE TO RIDE!
Chris Larsen, Membership At the age of 15, I was compelled to buy my first street bike.  The late 1968 model 250cc two stroke was not much of a bike, but it had a motor and two wheels so I was in. My neighbors must have loved me as I spent weeks driving up and down the road trying to get the front wheel off the ground (to this day, I’m not sure I ever did). Not known at the time, but both father and grandfather had always ridden and continued until age would no longer permit so two wheels is in my blood. In my 40+ years of riding I had only 1 year with no bike. Road tours include Washington, Oregon, California, Montana, Idaho, Saskatchewan & Alberta. Current ride is the Back & Chrome Indian, 2017 Chief Vintage (Nickname- Dreamer), and she is here to stay.

After falling in love with the first Indian motorcycle I saw as a teenager, I’ve decided if I ride a motorcycle one day, I would definitely ride an Indian motorcycle.

Therefore, in the year 2020, I started to ride a motorcycle and that was Indian Scout Bobber as my first motorcycle.

I’ve been a member of IMRG in Korea until I moved to Vancouver in 2023.

As soon as I arrived in BC, a week after, I purchased an Indian Motorcycle Springfield and started as a member of IMRG Langley, BC.

In 2024, I’ve completed one of my major bucket lists by traveling across Canada west end to east end and the United States with the members.

We are always riding together to various places in BC and near cities.

It’s a pleasure to meet and ride with brothers and sisters as Indian Motorcycles Riders.

I always look forward to riding with IMRG Langley, BC.

Nathan Close, Web Director I spent a long time dreaming about getting on two wheels but agreed to wait for the kids to get older.  That date came in the summer of 2020 when I took the Safety Course and got my full license in November. The first bike was a beautiful 2009 Suzuki Boulevard C50, but it was just too small.  My first long adventure was set to begin in August of 2021 with my oldest boy on the back, a 3000 km trip up Vancouver Island, a ferry to Prince Rupert, and then off to Prince George and down Hwy 97.  As I said, the bike was too small.  I took a trip into an Indian dealership and a week before we were to leave, came home with a 2020 Roadmaster.

3 years later I have 75k on that bike I have been to Mexico twice, most recently down to Cabo San Lucas.  I am always looking forward to that next long ride.

Greg Vince, Safety Officer Hello everyone,

I’m Greg Vince, and I’m proud to serve as your Safety Director for our IMRG Chapter 2020 starting January 2025. I joined the group back in April 2023 and have thoroughly enjoyed every moment with you all.
My journey on two wheels began with the thrills of downhill mountain biking, which eventually led me to the world of motorcycling. My first bike was a 1983 Suzuki GS 400, a classic that sparked my love for the road. More recently, in August 2022, I upgraded to a 2016 Victory Cross Country, which has been an exciting addition to my riding life.
I’ve had the privilege of attending two WCICs (Western Canada Indian Motorcycle Calibration), where I not only honed my riding skills but also strengthened the bonds with fellow riders. The camaraderie within our chapter has been one of the highlights of my riding experience, and the skills and knowledge I’ve gained here are invaluable.
I’m also very proud of our group’s commitment to charity, with significant donations to both the Legion and the local food bank, reflecting our dedication to giving back to the community.
In my professional life, I operate a transportation company, where safety is paramount. This experience has naturally translated into my role as Safety Director, ensuring that our rides are both enjoyable and safe.
Looking forward to 2025, I’m excited about putting many more kilometers on the road with all of you, sharing in the joy of riding and continuing to learn and grow together as a group. Here’s to safe, fun, and memorable rides this year!
Best regards, Greg Vince Safety Director, IMRG Chapter 2020
James Angers, Road Captain
Hello fellow riders! I’m James Angers ( DANGER ) , a proud member of the Indian Motorcycle Riders Group Chapter 2020 Langley.
My journey with two wheels began at a young age when I first rode a dirt bike at a friends cabin, and I instantly fell in love with the thrill of riding. Over the years, I transitioned to street bikes, starting with a Yamaha FZ6 and later moving to an R6. My time on 2 wheels took a turn when I found out I was going to be a dad, prompting a brief hiatus from riding. However, in 2018, I reignited my passion by purchasing a Victory V92C, marking the beginning of my love affair with Polaris motorcycles. After visiting s2s motorsports at least 9 times over a year  to sit on and look at a 2019 steel grey chieftain. ln 2020, I took the leap and bought the Chieftain !  Officially joining the Indian Motorcycle family. My journey took an exciting turn in 2022 when I joined the Langley chapter of IMRG after an unforgettable ride with Paul Parker. Since then, I’ve enjoyed countless adventures with the group, including the Western Canadian Indian Celebration in 2023&2024 (WCIC) and an incredible trip to the Eastern Canadian Indian Celebration 2024 (ECIC) in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia with the opportunity to ride the Cabbot Trail with IMRG members from across the nation . Traveling across the continent and sharing experiences with members from various Canadian chapters, including making the journey home with Joe Choi, visiting Niagara Falls, The Indian motorcycle factory in spirit lake Iowa, Mount Rushmore , Sturgis and so much more truly solidified my passion for riding. After this trip I embraced the opportunity to become an officer for our chapter, dedicating myself to fostering our community and passion for riding. If given the choice between taking the car or the bike, the bike will always win—there’s nothing quite like the freedom of the open road! In 2023 I traded the chieftain in and have been riding my 2023 Challenger Darkhorse ever since . Let’s ride together and make more unforgettable memories! 🏍️✨
Geoff Roberts, Road Officer Dad can I get a motorbike? NO cause I lost a section of road along with a chunk of my leg on a 1955 DMW 250! Being 14, Dad can I get a job? Yes, but don’t you have to be 16? As a basement bike assembler at Cap’s Bicycles no one checked? Dad there is this totally MOD Vespa P200E Scooter. It will be crap for that money… and your mom will take an axe to it. Mobility finally came in the form of a 1973 Volkswagen Westphalia Weekender from the Pattullo Auto Auction. Bud we’re going camping you’ll need a dirt bike check across the line the dollars good. Sure enough Puyallup WA landed me the perfect Kawasaki KLX 300R. Quickly learnt to kick start in boots and the concept of compression. Drive by Surrey Daytona’s bike sale spotted last year’s 2008 Suzuki SV650 apparently no one likes white bikes with red seats $5K! I’m in. Hey do you guys do that licensing thing before or after I buy it? Take a course do us all a favor buddy… A faint screech and rib crusher from the passenger (crew chief) seat, this is too fast and the saddle doesn’t fit me right. Ok back to dirt bikes let’s turn 40 and soften the blow with the missus springing for a shiny new 2012 Husaberg TE300! Now I’m on a roll… hey isn’t the mother in law selling her 2009 Yamaha 950? Let’s take it for an extended test ride down the Oregon Coast. Now we’ve arrived less screeching as we do a very bad Mutant Ninja Turtle impersonation in the corners. Father in law get a Victory “try one buy one” and keep up already! Victory brand collapses Indian’s emerge supreme once again… “Hey this one comes with matching arm rests, heated seats, cup holders and a purse compatible trunk!!”…. and here we are now with our 2016 Indian Roadmaster the bike of our dreams and getting faster with every recommended upgrade thanks to the wise guys & gals in the IMRG! Meet Ruger the unruly Roadmaster! Don’t tell my Dad (seriously)!
